Florescent in Florence

I was gonna squeeze my Florence blog into the same one as Pisa, but this amazing city deserves it's own. Plus I managed to get a few cheek ootd photos!

So we stayed at Plus Hostel Florence and made friends with a New Yorker (Daniela) and a Canadian girl (Allana) which were lovely! We spent 3 days with Daniela who has the most positve outlook on life that it's contagious.
What I loved most about this stop is that we had no plans at all, which meant we could just walk around at our own pace and do anything we wanted! For example the first night we stopped off at the Wine shop, each brought a bottle of Tuscan red and sat on the bridge getting to know one another. When leaving the bridge we followed the music and found the cutest concert of live music. This night was topped off when walking home and finding a beer pong bar (this was a must with our friends from the states).

The following evening we headed to Piazza Michaelangelo to watch the sunset over Florence. Again with a bottle of Tuscan wine we listened to music and admired the scenery. The most amazing thing happened though, a flash mob of Russian choir singers appeared and after several minutes of singing one of the guys proposed to his girlfriend! Me and Robyn (both usually not sensitive) had tears in our eyes! The moment was so magical, we blame Daniela for our British walls coming down haha.

I literally cannot wait to get back to Florence 😍

Pizza in Pisa

I've been slacking so badly with blogs while I was away, but I'm back now so will have to get busy and finish them!

So we decided to visit Pisa for only one night as we knew there wasn't a great deal of things to do there. We also decided we would need a chilled out evening after our days of travel. We stayed in the cutest hostel called Hostel Pisa Tower which offered an amazing welcoming. I was so happy to see that we finally had comfy beds to! And lovely room mates! This hostel was located  a 10 minute walk from the leaning tower of Pisa which was seen from my window. Pisa itself was lovely, which I think is due to not having any expectations. I felt as though I was in stereotypical Italy. I loved it!

The leaning tower was abit of an anticlimax to be quite honest and you can never get close enough for a good photo. It was kind of like 'okay we've taken our photo now what?' The thing you never often see is the railing around the grounds which prevent you from accessing the grass area around the tower. I had to make the most of the opportunity and take the cheesiest tourist photo!

Such a sucker for Italy!

Having spent over 6 days in Italy so far I have fallen in love. First with Naples and then with Rome.

Naples

We stayed right by the port in the cutest hostel called 'The hostel of the sun'. The staff were warm and welcoming and gave the best advice on places to visit/eat on a budget.

On our first night we were so hungry we are at the first place we found, which was the cutest! The waitor was so helpful and shaped our pizza into hearts (adorable). Then we were informed of a free concert on the dock, where they performed live Italy music! With peroni at only €1.50 we were in our element.

View from Castel Sant Elmo

We took the bus to visit Pompeii the next morning, which in total for audio headset, sight ticket and he bus was €25- amazing! Most of my photos are on my camera so I'll be sure to post more when I'm home!

Rome

We decided to camp at 'Plus Camping Roma'. It was a little out of the way having to get a metro and a bus, but for only €10 per night we did not mind one bit. The only difficulty was that the footbridge was out of use. This leads you from the bustop to the campsite, and unfortunately we had to walk on the busy main road.

Our expectations were disappointed when we first arrived in Rome. We visited the Vatican City, but the 2 hour que which bended round the streets was soon to change our minds. This was very busy, touristy and not at all what I had in mind when I thought of Rome.
However, after a couple of metro stops we arrived at the colloseum and my mood suddenly lifted! We were presented with beautiful architecture and historical monuments- Exactly what I had invisaged. Not to mention the old cobbled streets and most stunning cathedrals!

Time to be a tourist

Our travels have begun in Olbia, Sardinia. Me & Robyn are interailing around Europe for 4 weeks, so decided to have a relaxing beach holiday before the caos begins. When we arrived we had a nightmare finding our guesthouse, but once we arrived we had the loveliest view of the harbour. The guesthouse was called La Terrazza Guesthouse and was great value for money. This was also walking distance from the town centre.
We visited the most beautiful beach called Porto Istana, which we reached by bus which takes aprox 40 minutes. Our first visit took a lot longer because we got lost (oops). It was most definatley worth the drive, however was very busy (which is understandable as the views are unbelievable).

As pretty as the beaches are in Olbia I am in no rush to return. This is perfect for a relaxing holiday at the beach, however the beaches aren't the easiest to reach and can be expensive by taxi.

Next stop... Napoli

Not to make anyone jealous but I'm writing this from the beach in Sardinia.
So at the weekend I attended my boyfriends parents wedding and thought it would be a perfect opportunity for a blog post. The venue (The Windmill hotel) was lovely, as was the whole day.
I've had this dress in my wardrobe for a few months now and was so excited to wear it to the wedding. I was even more excited when I seen the shoes on asos which match so well! I fell in love with the floral design insantly, and just had to have the dress shipped over from Australia. I decided as the dress and shoes were very bold to keep everything else simple.

Holiday bits, bobs & bargains.

So my holiday is drawing so close it's scary, I've been so busy working and counting down the days till I left for my new job that I barely kept track of my holiday. Which is this Tuesday! I've got a busy weekend ahead so have dedicated today to do my final holiday prep.
Cami vest tops/ New Look £9.99/ are pretty much essential when backpacking as they're so light as effortless!

Chunky white sandals/ NewLook only £24.99/ I've been holding off buying them until now cause I knew I'd ruin them before I go away (white sandals and sauce do not complement one another too well).

Reflective sunglasses/ NewLook £4.99/ Perfect for my early morning trips for when I'm too sleepy to put makeup on, all I need is to pair then with some lipstick and I'm ready to go (joys of travelling).

As a I seen the sunflower scarf(Primark) at £4 I ran to the rail and stuffed it in my basket, and finding out it was only £2 when I got to the till was the icing on top of the cake. As I'll be travelling around warm, sunny Europe Im planning on using the scarf to accessorize my White bag. But I'm sure it will come in handy when I cross through Switzerland.

Trousers / Elsie & Fred (in Gladrags Boutique) reduced to £15 ended up being £10 :o

Satchel / Gladrags boutique in sale for £10 too

I'm almost ready to go yippee!!!!!

This weekend me and my crazy friends headed over to Birmingham for the wireless festival. I was in my absolute element seeing my favvvv Kanye West, as well as Pharrell Williams and a few others too! We got a little carried away quoting Fobalicous from Jona from Tonga, hence the name of today's blog !

My look was inspired by Mr West himself- All black everything.
